ABOUT ME

Dorothy is an emerging American artist who goes by the alias Crack3D Fox. She specializes in both digital and traditional mediums, often depicting realistic fantasy portraiture and landscapes as her preferred subject matter of choice. Her work blends realism and fantasy with cultural influences from living in Japan for 10 years as a young adult. She paints with the intention of bringing her subjects to life, inviting the viewer to step into the frame and explore the world inside. Since beginning her artistic career, she has embraced and followed Kelogsloops’ motto, “Be right back, chasing dreams.”

Dorothy started drawing as a child, filling sketchbook after sketchbook with characters and ideas. After high school she decided not to go to college and instead enlisted in the US Air Force. She was stationed at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa; Misawa Air Base, Japan; and Malmstrom Air Force Base, Great Falls, Montana, where she was medically separated after 12 years of active duty. Consequently, Dorothy decided to use her GI Bill to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Illustration at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, and graduated in August 2022. During her time at RMCAD, she learned how to use pencil, charcoal, watercolor, acrylics, oil paints, and Photoshop, and has defined herself as a multi-media artist ever since.

Dorothy is currently working on a series for her first gallery show as well as maintaining a presence on social media. She intends to continue her current projects and pursuits in order to save up for her own studio so that one day she can teach others how to bring their dreams to life.
